Kensington + Fishtown Philadelphia Couple Session // Caitlin & Charles

Caitlin & Charlie's Fishtown couple session! Caitlin & Charlie are getting married in Old City but wanted to have engagement photos taken around their home in Kensington. We started at their home, walked around their neighborhood, and stopped at Greensgrow Farms & Cedar Point.

Fall Material Culture Philadelphia Wedding // Rachel & Phila

Okay, this wedding was THE BEST.

This was hands down my favorite wedding so far. Not only did they kill it at picking the perfect getting ready location, but their ceremony was at one of my favorite venues.

Rachel & Phila used a family friend's home to get ready. Rachel got ready in the garden room and Phila got ready in the master bedroom. We did the first look just outside the garden room near the koi fish pond. The walls of the home were covered in ivy and made for a perfect backdrop for many of the portraits. They had a perfect mix of warehouse-industrial and nature.

Material Culture is a store, auction house & cafe. The space is always filled with gorgeous rugs, antiques and furniture

Brewerytown Couple Session // Sara & Lucas

HOLY MOLY I LOVE MY JOB. Lucas and Sara were soooo fun. We met at The Monkey & The Elephant in Brewerytown, which has a super cool backyard area. We walked around the area and went to my favorite Philadelphia bridge. I can't wait to photograph their wedding this fall in Maryland!

American Swedish Historical Museum Wedding // Carly & Scott

Seriously, I have the best job.

Carly and Scott were soooo incredible to photograph. Despite the rain, their wedding was so fun that even all of the vendors were dancing (including me)! If you've never worked with me before, I should probably let you know that it's in my contract that you have to play "Come On Eileen" at your reception.

The rain caused a little change in plans because ceremonies at this venue are usually outside. If you've ever been there you know it has a large staircase and once the ceremony starts you pretty much just have to stay planted either upstairs or downstairs. Since the wedding party is ON the stairs it would be absolutely ridiculous to walk up the stairs mid-ceremony, and the elevators make a really loud beeping sound that is equally inappropriate to use mid-ceremony. I'm so grateful that these two hired a second photographer so that my girl Kelly Giarrocco could stay on the top floor to give some diversity to these ceremony shots. I'm thinking of making second shooters a part of all of my packages because really I think it's so incredibly important and makes such a big difference.

This was my second wedding under my own name for this year and I am so happy with these photographs. I am not married, but one of my favorite things to do while shooting a wedding is think about the photos I'd want of my friends and family. I think this one is exactly that!

PS: I could literally shoot every Jeffery A Miller wedding and never get sick of it.
